10:04 a.m. and My Progress of NaNo It never fails. I'm sick as a dog on Day 4 of NaNo (shortened term for NaNoWriMo). It started yesterday. It's a terrible sinus and chest cold. (By the way, how is a dog sick? I've always wondered what that saying really means.)
But, seriously. It never fails.
Why is it that when it is absolutely essential for you to be healthy, you get sick? Ugh. I have to be healthy for NaNo. I need to get 50,000 words written in a month. My husband has Friday off, so I want to get all of my words completed for this week by tomorrow evening. No stress. (Ha!)
I'm chuckling as I write this because I hear my cat, Sinan, chasing his tail in the bathtub. I wish I was kidding. But, often times, real life is stranger than fiction. Silly cat. As for Beagle (Mr. Zack), he's sleeping on his striped dogie bed in my study with me as I write. He offers great moral support. Sinan (orange tabby) comes in every now and then and insists on me taking a break for a minute or two. Okay, so it's more like he wants love and to play, but it ends up with me taking a break to do so. Also, I know that beagles sleep quite a bit, but every now and then I wonder if I bore him to sleep with my writing. Sigh.
Right now, I have 7,075 words of 50,000 done. My goal for today is: 9,200.
We shall see.
Need more hot coffee for my throat. Ugh.
11:44 a.m. and My Progress of NaNo
What progress? I finally felt well enough to put three days of dishes in the dishwasher. Then, had to sit for a while and I wrote John and the BTMM for a bit. Then, I made lunch. Now, I'm multi-tasking. I'm eating and writing this blog post.
Let me see...
7,615 words of 50,000 written now.
Oh, how I hope I get a great deal more written the next hour an a half!
I'm feeling better at the moment as far as my sickness. Maybe it's eating that's helped. Not sure.
By the way, thanks to my familial genes, you need to know that I'm constantly losing and gaining weight and hope to level off and keep it where it needs to be and not mess up again. I'm at the heavier side again (God, help me be disciplined.). So, I'm counting calories and trying to eat healthy..er. I started that this week. Is that why I'm sick? My body's shocked I'm eating the good for it stuff and it's in shock? Just a thought for me to ponder. Sitting on my rear at my writing desk all month won't help with this either, but with counting calories, I can lose weight, provided that I remember to count them!
Well, I need to get back to work and finish eating lunch. See you in another hour or so.
God bless.
